Will the rental car shuttle be operating 1/22?

It's not the airport, it's a matter of getting out of the area across the bridges that are closed.

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is monitoring the winter weather conditions and the potential impacts. The Airport will remain open as long as conditions are safe.

As of Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, most airlines at MSY have cancelled flight operations, and depending on weather conditions, most airlines plan to resume operations on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025. Passengers are advised to check directly with their airlines on the most up to date flight information.

“Open” with Zero scheduled flights. Cool.

Planes can take off and land but the New Orleans area is surrounded by bridges so travelers cannot get out of the area until roads reopen.

I rescheduled my flight to NOLA from Wednesday to Thursday. Roads won’t be clear to get from airport home.

Southwest Airlines canceled our flight for Wednesday 👎🏼☹️

Is anyone actually scheduled to fly tomorrow? Or is the airport staying open despite employee safety, and ignoring local travel alerts?

Oh no they closed the runways after making people show up to work. If only there were some kind of meteorological phenomenon like a….forecast? IAH closed ahead of time and communicated properly, wild how this airport can’t even manage that.

Any updates??

Any updates?

Does MSY have any deicing equipment and chemicals?

Will the flights on Tuesday be cancelled if it snows.

Are you closing Tuesday?

Please update us! What’s going on?! We have flight scheduled Thursday early morning. Trying to decide if we should reschedule to Wednesday afternoon departure due to possible icy conditions Wednesday night- into early Thursday morning…. What’s the likeliness for delays and rescheduling due to ice when dark outside vs daytime??? Ahhhhhh!!!! So much too consider and figure out!!!

For anyone still wondering all flights leaving out Tuesday have been canceled. I read a news article about it.

My flight from Dallas to MSY was scheduled to land at 8:05pm Monday was cancelled. I was able to get on earlier flight same day.

Any updates on Tuesday yet?❄️

A more recent weather update would be appreciated

All SWA flights are cancelled for Tuesday from MSY.

Updates are appreciated! I'm due to fly in Wed.

Is there any indication that MSY will close on Jan 20?

Any updates? Due to flight out early Tuesday morning

Looking forward to being in the skies! The jazz music on concourse b is EXTREMELY LOUD. Can’t hear myself think. This isn’t the jazz fest.
